Hail is our biggest job.
Of everything that rolls through this shop, hail and body work takes the most labor hours. Panels, segments, beltline, decals, roof, vents and skylights. We work in aluminum and metal skin, which is what Airstreams and metal campers are made of. We do not do fiberglass, and we will tell you that on the phone instead of costing you a tow across town.

are not the problem.
- Roof membrane and seamsImpact splits and bruising in the membrane, and sealant knocked loose at every penetration. This is where a leak starts.
- Vent covers and skylightsPlastic goes brittle in Colorado UV and shatters in a storm. Cracked domes are the most common hail damage we see.
- A/C shroudThe plastic cover over your rooftop air conditioner takes a beating and cracks, which lets water into the unit.
- Skin, panels and beltlineThe dents everybody notices. Some are structural, most are cosmetic, and we will tell you which is which.

- Panel and segment replacementDamaged aluminum sheets and segments replaced so fit, finish and shell structure are right, not patched over.
- Beltline and decalsBeltline repair and decal work so the rig looks finished when it leaves, not like it had surgery.
- Roof repair and replacementRubber roof replacement on all non-Airstream types, plus resealing, patching and leak diagnostics. We do not replace Airstream roofs or van roofs.
- Vents, skylights and A/C shroudsCracked domes and shrouds replaced and resealed. Hail resistant Maxim domes when you want the upgrade.
- Interior water damageWhat the leak did after the storm. We find the entry point first, then fix what the water reached.
- Insurance documentationWe photograph the damage, write the estimate and work directly with your adjuster.

- Fiberglass, of any kindWe do not do fiberglass work. If the shell or front cap is fiberglass, the body part of your claim is not our job. We can still handle the roof, vents and interior.
- Airstream and van roof replacementWe service, reseal and repair Airstream roofs. We do not re-roof them, and we do not re-roof vans.
- Automotive and chassis workHouse components only. We do trailer brakes, bearings, axles, leaf springs and jacks, but nothing on the automotive side.
- Mobile serviceWe started that way in 2019 and we are done with it. Everything happens at the shop, by appointment.
- Over 40 feet or over 20 years oldThose are the limits of what fits our bays and what we can get parts for.

- Written estimate firstNothing starts without one, and nothing is set in stone. We call you before we do anything that changes the price.
- Labor is $198 per hourPublished, not negotiated at the counter. We will not quote a hail job over the phone, because the number depends on what is under the panels.
- Photos and records for the adjusterDocumented damage, itemized estimate and a paper trail that holds up.
- Big rebuilds go to winterAverage job here runs 6.3 days from intake to completion. A full hail rebuild is bigger than that, so we schedule those November through April on purpose. Summer stays open for the fix it and go camping work, and your rig is back before the season.
Cosmetic work is your call
If a dent is not going to leak, it is cosmetic, and nobody here is going to talk you into it. If you want our honest opinion: fix the bad ones and leave the small ones. Start with the roof, because that is the part that turns a storm into a repair bill.

Scope & repairs
Do you repair hail damage on RVs in Denver?
Yes. Hail, body, and skin work is the single largest category of labor in our shop. We work on aluminum and metal skin RVs, which covers Airstreams, metal campers, and the aluminum panels on most travel trailers and fifth wheels. We are in Commerce City at 6590 E 49th Ave and we serve the Denver metro area by appointment.
Do you repair fiberglass RVs damaged by hail?
No. We do not do fiberglass work of any kind. If your RV has a fiberglass shell or a fiberglass front cap, the body portion of a hail claim is not a job we take. We will tell you that on the phone rather than have you tow it across town. We can still handle the roof, vent, skylight, and interior water damage on a fiberglass unit.
Can you replace hail damaged aluminum panels?
Yes. We replace damaged aluminum sheets and segments, repair the beltline, and reapply decals so the fit and finish is right and the shell structure stays sound. On a metal on metal camper we can re-skin, though on older units we will tell you when it is not worth the money instead of taking the job.
Does hail damage on an RV cause leaks?
That is the part people miss. Hail usually hits the roof, the vent covers, the skylights, and the air conditioner shroud before it does anything obvious to the sides. Those are the pieces that keep water out. A rig that looks fine from the ground can be leaking at the roof. Get the roof looked at even if the walls look clean.

Do you work with insurance on RV hail claims?
Yes. We document the damage, write the estimate, and work directly with your adjuster. One thing we will always be straight about: some insurance companies will only pay a labor rate well under market. When that happens we say so plainly and we explain what it means for your out of pocket, before the work starts.
What does RV hail damage repair cost?
Labor is $198 per hour. We do not quote a hail job over the phone, because the number depends on how many panels are affected and what is going on under them. Bring it in, we will look at it and put an estimate in writing. Nothing is set in stone, and we call you before we do anything that changes the price.
Should I fix every hail dent?
That is your call, not ours. If a dent is not going to leak, it is cosmetic. If you want our honest opinion, fix the bad ones and leave the small ones. We do not push cosmetic work on anybody.

Across all our work orders the average is about a week, 6.3 days from intake to completion. A full hail rebuild is bigger than an average job and depends on panel availability, so we schedule those into the off season on purpose, November through April. That keeps summer open for the fix it and go camping work, and it gets your rig back before the next season.
What RVs do you work on?
House components only, under 40 feet and newer than 20 years. Airstream is our specialty. We do not do automotive or chassis work, and we do not offer mobile service. Everything happens at the shop in Commerce City, by appointment.
Got hit in the last storm?
Bring it in and we will look at the roof first, then the skin, and put the whole thing in writing for your adjuster. We are booking about a week out in season, usually the same week off season.
