How to choose an RV repair shop in Denver.
There is no single best RV shop in Colorado. There is a best shop for each kind of problem. Here is how to match the job to the shop and the five questions to ask before you book.
01 · Start with the job
Match the shop
Match the shop
to the job.
- House systems (electrical, plumbing, A/C, appliances, slides, roof seals, solar and lithium)This is a specialist shop job. It is what we do.
- Mobile repair at your home or campsiteMobile technicians exist for small fixes you cannot tow in for. We do not offer mobile service.
- Body, fiberglass and paintNeeds a body shop with fiberglass experience. We do aluminum panel work on Airstreams, not fiberglass.
- Engine, transmission and chassisNeeds a truck or chassis specialist. We do not do this work.
- Factory warranty work and recallsGoes to a dealer or manufacturer service center.
02 · What to ask
Five questions
Five questions
before you book.
- When will you look at it, and when will it be done?Ask for a diagnosis date and a pickup estimate. Our average job is 6.3 days from intake to completion.
- Do I get a written estimate before work starts? You should. Ours is written, with a realistic timeline, before we touch it.
- What certifications do your technicians hold?Look for RVIA/RVTI certification and brand training. We are RVIA Master Certified, Victron Certified, Dometic Certified and Lippert Certified.
- What do you not work on?The honest shops say it up front. We do not do engines, transmissions, chassis, fiberglass or mobile work, and we work on RVs under 40 feet and newer than 20 years.
- What is the warranty on the repair?Ours is 60 days on parts and labor.
03 · Independent vs the big chains
Independent shop
Independent shop
or national chain.
- Chains and dealers carry sales and warranty workService shares the building with sales, so the same technicians are pulled between new-unit prep, warranty claims and customer repairs. See our dealership comparison for the detail.
- A focused shop turns jobs fasterWe only work on the house side of the RV, so a 6.3 day average is realistic.
- Ask about the ownersAt Master Tech, Mark runs the shop floor and Carol runs the office. You talk to the people doing the work.

Straight
answers.
- What is the best RV repair shop in Colorado? It depends on the repair. For house systems in the Denver metro (electrical, plumbing, A/C, appliances, slides, roof seals, solar and lithium, and Airstreams) Master Tech RV Repair & Storage in Commerce City is built for it. For fiberglass body work choose a fiberglass specialist, and for engines or chassis choose a truck specialist.
- How do I choose an RV repair shop in Denver?Match the shop to the job, ask for a written estimate with a timeline, check certifications, and ask what the shop does not work on. A shop that is clear about its limits is usually the better pick.
- Should I use a national chain or an independent RV shop?Use the manufacturer network for warranty and recall work. For repairs you are paying for yourself, a focused independent shop is usually faster because it is not also handling sales and warranty claims.
- Does Master Tech work on motorhome engines or chassis? No. We do house systems only. For engine, transmission or chassis problems we point you to a trusted truck or chassis shop.
- Does Master Tech offer mobile RV repair? No. All work happens at our shop at 6590 E 49th Ave, Commerce City, by appointment.
